the loss of its Chairman and Founder,
François BOUCHÉ
Paris, January 23, 2024 – VALGO, a company dedicated to revitalizing polluted sites and soils and building remediation, is deeply saddened to announce the death of its Chairman and Founder, François BOUCHE, who died on Monday 22 January 2024 at the age of 54 years.
Serial entrepreneur, founder of the VALGO group in 2004 and business angel, François Bouché was a leading figure in the French economic market, and more particularly in the remediation and real estate redevelopment of polluted sites in France and around the world.
Passionate about sustainable development, biodiversity, respect for human beings and innovation to protect people and nature, François Bouché has been a lifelong defender of the sustainable economy in the name of environmental protection and long-term economic development. It was in 2001, after acting as an engineer following the industrial accident at the AZF factory in the French city of Toulouse, that he set up his 1st company specializing in the decontamination of sites, buildings, and contaminated soil. Today, VALGO, which employs 800 people, is present throughout the French territory with 14 regional agencies and operates worldwide through its 6 subsidiaries in Europe, Canada, and Brazil.
François Bouché, who created the heart of VALGO and its mission of Doctor of the Planet, has always been a man of action and a federator. His deep knowledge and expertise are at the genesis of a unique methodology – the VALGOrisation – an integrated and certified service engineering process that integrates all the activities in the remediation chain, while ensuring financial profitability of the end-to-end solution chosen.
A man of convictions, passion, ambition and drive, he has given everything to VALGO, its teams, its customers and its partners.
François Bouché has also supported many innovations as an incubator, creating an environment that encourages the growth of young start-ups, helping them to overcome initial obstacles and fostering their long-term success by dedicating resources to research and development, where innovation is a key element of success.
François BOUCHÉ was a source of inspiration to all his colleagues. His heritage remains and will remain a guide for VALGO, as we remember the qualities of courage, fairness, audacity, commitment, and strength that he taught us.
