Our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions:
The climate challenge concerns all sectors of activity and must be addressed by everyone. It is therefore a strategic issue that raises questions about both the sustainability of VALGO’s business model and its resilience.
Since 2021, VALGO has been measuring its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3. The initial assessment was carried out by an independent external provider using the ADEME’s Carbon Footprint® methodology, aligned with the GHG Protocol. This assessment has since been conducted annually by the Group’s CSR teams as part of a continuous improvement process.
Based on this analysis, the VALGO Group defined its decarbonization plan in 2024. Seeking to establish a robust trajectory, this plan was based on the SBTi methodology, thus incorporating the IPCC recommendations and aligning with the Paris Agreement.

The CO2 Performance Scale
Determined to contribute to the group’s decarbonization commitments, VALGO uses the CO₂ Performance Scale, a tool that allows it to track its progress, share knowledge gained transparently and raise awareness among its employees, partners and customers.
- This certification is based on 4 main pillars:
- Understanding: Becoming familiar with the different energy flows and CO2 emissions;
- Reduction: development of ambitious targets for emissions reduction;
- Transparency: structural communication on emissions reduction policy;
- Participation: getting involved in sectoral initiatives aimed at reducing CO2 emissions
